New Special Counsel for Wellington Banking & Financial Services Team

Minter Ellison Rudd Watts welcomes Kara Daly back to the firm as special counsel
 
Minter Ellison Rudd Watts continues to grow the depth of talent within the firm’s banking and financial services practice, with the appointment of commercial and securities specialist Kara Daly.

Kara has over 25 years’ of experience providing specialist securities and financial law advice to clients in New Zealand, with expertise spanning the breadth of corporate, commercial, finance and securities law.
Her expertise includes advice in respect of debt capital markets transactions, mortgage securitisations and other securities issues, managed funds products, mortgage lending practices, and all aspects of banking and financial services.

Kara returns to Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, where she was formerly Partner, from boutique Wellington based commercial law firm Morrison Daly.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Partner Mark Weenink said: “Kara is an excellent addition to the firm.
Kara’s expertise will complement our strong team, and be of particular benefit to our clients at a time when New Zealand’s securities laws and financial regulatory regime are undergoing a period of significant change.”
Kara is based in the firm’s Wellington office.
