Assisting clients in managing and resolving employment relationship problems, including advising on disciplinary and termination procedures and conducting disciplinary meetings on behalf of clients
Drafting and advising on individual employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and HR policies and procedures
Advising on all aspects of employment law and related legislation including restraints of trade, Holidays Act, health and safety, privacy
Providing strategic advice on restructuring, including drafting proposals for consultation and communication strategies and assisting in implementation of the same
Advising on industrial relations issues including good faith and consultation and industrial action (strikes/lockouts)
Extensive experience representing employers and employees at mediation
Conducting private settlement negotiations on behalf of clients, particularly in relation to personal grievance claims
Appearances in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court, in particular representing employers in defending personal grievance claims and applications for interim reinstatement
